In an informal interaction with the media, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today spoke about many controversial issues in the State's politics.
Speaking of the fracas in the KCR family, Reddy alleged that MLC K Kavitha was being targeted by four members of her own family - K Chandrashekar Rao, K T Rama Rao, T Harish Rao and Santosh Rao - over issues of property and dominance.
He also claimed that when Kavitha was jailed, KCR, KTR and Harish Rao had attempted to merge the BRS with the BJP.
On another hot issue, the alleged urea shortage in the State, Reddy accused the BJP and the BRS of creating an artificial drama to mislead farmers and exploit them for political mileage.
He also said that local body elections in Telangana would be conducted only after the Supreme Court delivered its verdict on the bills pending with the Governor and Centre.
The CM also dismissed reports that he had handed over the phone-tapping case to the CBI, and said that the High Court was monitoring the investigation.
Reddy also alleged that Union Minister G Kishan Reddy was colluding with the BRS to stall a CBI probe into the Kaleshwaram project.
On the Metro Rail expansion, Reddy said that vested interests were creating hurdles every time he met the Prime Minister, with L&T repeatedly citing financial losses.
He also asked why KTR had stayed silent when Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh were jailed.
Mocking BRS leaders over the recent defections of its MLAs to the Congress, Reddy said that the former lacked clarity or consistency in their stands over defections, given that in the previous BRS regimes plenty of TDP and Congress MLAs had been poached by the BRS, with some even made ministers.
