Warangal Boy Shot Dead In US For Money
A young man from Warangal, Vamsichand Reddy Mamidala, was gunned down by some unidentified African Americans in California on Thursday.

A young man from Warangal, Vamsichand Reddy Mamidala, was gunned down by some unidentified African Americans in California on Thursday.
Though the incident happened three days back, the police reported the death only on Saturday night after Reddy's friends complained that he had been missing for two days.
Vamsichand Reddy belongs to Vangapahad village under Hasanparthi mandal of Warangal Urban district.
Upon receipt of the tragic news from the US, his parents fell unconscious, and an eerie silence enveloped the village.
Reddy completed his B. Tech. in the Vatsalya Engineering College in Bhongir and proceeded to the US in September 2015 to study MS in California University. He completed his masters' from Silicon Valley University and was doing a part-time job.
On Thursday night, he was reportedly shot dead by some blacks. The killers, intoxicated by drugs, stopped Vamsi's car, and one of the culprits shot the boy dead from point blank range and fled with the car. The killer also took the victim's wallet. The body of Vamsi was found inside the car.
Vamsi's sister living in Hyderabad was informed of the death by the local police. Shocked by the news, Vamsi's family urged the State government to help bring the body back.
IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao, who is also in charge of overseas affairs, spoke to the people concerned in California, and is making efforts to bring back the body.
Meanwhile, another immigrant was also reportedly attacked by Americans at the spot where Vamsichand Reddy was gunned down.
