Salary Hike For Municipal Workers In 2 Days?
The government is likely to announce its decision of providing an extension of the salary hike offered to the GHMC workers, to other sanitation employees.
Greatly perturbed at the persistent criticism from the opposition parties, the Telangana government has now shifted its focus to resolving the unabated strike of the sanitation workers in the state.
In a couple of days or so the government is most likely to announce its decision of providing an extension of the salary hike offered to the GHMC workers, to other workers as well.
Though the government has almost taken a final call in this regard, the official preoccupation with the Godavari pushkar arrangements is leading to a delay in formalizing the decision and announcing it, sources said.
While KCR sought recommendations on offering the salary hike, officials seem to have been buying time, resulting in a delay that has been adding to the woes of the workers.
Though unhappy with the strike, the Chief Minister is determined to resolve the issue soon, and there is possible good news for those in the nine districts. (NSS)
