Left Hails TDP, Congress For Backing Municipal Stir
The CPI warned the TRS that the workers, most of them from the STs and SCs, would teach a fitting lesson in case the government neglected their demands.

Complimenting the TDP and Congress activists for extending support to the municipal, gram panchayat and Employment Assurance Scheme workers' strike across Telangana, CPI Telangana State Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy asked the TRS government to invite the union leaders for discussions to solve the problems of the workers keeping the public response in view.
Reddy said some 1,500 activists of the CPI and the other nine Left parties had been arrested by the government.
He said it was shocking that the union which was being represented by Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy was also on strike but there was no response from the government.

On Friday, 10 Left parties participated in a meeting held at the CPI state office, and RSP State secretary Janakiramulu presided over the meeting. The leaders who participated in the meeting were Chada Venkat Reddy (CPI), Thammineni Veerabhadram (CPI-M), Goverdhan (New Democracy), Vemulapally Venkatramaiah (New Democracy), Janakiramulu (RSP), Banda Surender Reddy (Forward Block), Md Gouse (MCPI-U), Bhootham Veeranna (CPI-ML), Ch Murahari (SUCI-C), D Rajesh (CPI-Liberation), Palla Venkat Reddy (CPI), Eerla Narasimha (CPI), G Ramulu (CPM), T Jyothy (CPM), R Govind (RSP), Vanam Sudhakar (MCPI-U) and G Jhansi (CPI-ML New Democracy).
