Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao expressed confidence that he would emerge victorious in the Amberpet Assembly constituency elections.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, VHR claimed that he had been getting a tremendous response from the voters, and that he would certainly win with a huge majority from the Amberpet seat.
He said that many of his supporters wanted him to get a good position in Telangana although he agreed to contest the Assembly elections only upon the directions of Congress High Command.
He also expressed confidence that the Congress party would form the next government in Telangana and fulfill the promises made by AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi.
VHR also condemned BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for describing the Congress party's symbol hand as "khooni panja".
Accusing Modi of masterminding the massacre of Muslims in Gujarat in 2002, he said that Modi had no right to comment on the Congress party which has been serving the people for the last 128 years.
He said that Modi's dream to become the Prime Minister would remain a dream. (INN)
