The Seemandhra Students Joint Action Committee will be a holding a meeting on August 23 at Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur, to chalk out the future course of the agitation to be adopted to keep Andhra Pradesh united.
The Students JAC meeting is likely to be attended by the representatives of students' unions from all universities in the Seemandhra region. The JAC had earlier stated that it was opposed to the bifurcation of AP since it would affect the progress of the state.
According to sources, the JAC will also discuss onthe call given by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for intensifying the agitation on Telangana statehood from August 20, and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman M Kodandaram calling for a Million March on September 30.
