In response to the renewed demands of a separate Telangana state by politicians and activists, Seemandhra leaders today renewed their demands to the powers that be, to keep Andhra Pradesh united.
Interestingly, the demands from this side of the Telangana divide aren't very different - the Seemandhra JAC has demanded that leaders from the Seemandhra region resign from their posts by Monday, the 11th of July.
Seemandhra Joint Action Committee members and other supporters of the Samaikya Andhra cause were seen conducting rasta rokos and dharnas at quite a few places in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.
A rasta roko was staged at Kadapa, while at Nellore, a rail roko was staged, halting the Navajeevan Express for about half an hour.
