Six new ministers were inducted into the Council of Ministers of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday.
The new ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor E S L Narasimhan at a simple swearing-in ceremony held at Raj Bhavan at 11 am in the presence of the Chief Minister.
The cabinet expansion on Tuesday has increased the cabinet strength to 18, the maximum permissible cabinet size for Telangana.
The new ministers are Thummala Nageswara Rao (Khammam), Ch Lakshma Reddy (Jadcherala, Mahabubnagar District), Ajmeera Chandulal (Mulugu - Warangal), Allola Indrakaran Reddy (Nirmal - Adilabad), Talasani Srinivas Yadav (Sanathnagar - Rangareddy) and Jupally Krishna Rao (Kollapur - Mahabubnagar).
Several dignitaries including Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary, Deputy Chief Ministers Dr T Rajaiah and Mahmood Ali, and ministers, MLAs, MLCs and senior officials attended the ceremony.
The Hyderabad Police had made elaborate security arrangements around Raj Bhavan where hundreds of TRS activists had gathered. (INN)
