3 New Ministers For Telangana
Vivek Venkatswamy of SC (Mala), Adluri Laxman of SC (Madiga) and V Srihari of BC (Mudiraj) get cabinet berths as Congress focuses on social justice.

The Telangana Cabinet was expanded today with the addition of three new ministers: Chennur MLA G Vivek Venkatswamy, Dharmapuri MLA Adluri Laxman and Makthal MLS V Srihari.
The addition to the 12-member Cabinet after 18 months was much-watched and saw intense lobbying. Utimately, the Congress went in for social justice principles: Vivek Venkatswamy belongs to SC (Mala), Adluri Laxman to SC (Madiga) and V Srihari to BC (Mudiraj).
The ST category was accommodated in the Deputy Speaker position, which was given to Jatoth Ram Chander Naik, the Dornakal MLA.
The Muslim community continues to be absent from the Cabinet.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma administered the oath of office to these MLAs during a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan. The event was attended by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, many ministers, and several others including the heads of various corporations.
The Chief Minister congratulated the newly appointed ministers and Dornakal MLA Naik.
There are still three positions unfilled in the Cabinet, which by the Consitution can have upto 18 members (15% of the Assembly strength).
