Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders today accused Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan of making derogatory comments against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and termed her as an activist of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Responding to the statement made by Soundararajan that KCR's entering national politics was an unachievable task, Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy faulted the attitude of the Governor and said that she was not worthy of continuing in the constitutional post.
"KCR heads a political party and can do whatever he wishes to strengthen his party. But Tamilisai Soundararajan is holding a constistutional post. She is in no way authorized to make political comments against KCR. It is clear that Soundararajan is not a functioning as a Governor for Telangana, but as an activist of the BJP," Reddy alleged.
Government Whip and TRS MLA Balka Suman too criticised Soundararajan for making comments against KCR's proposed foray into national politics, and questioned the Governor's authority to level such "derogatory" comments.
"Tamilisai Soundararajan is the Governor of the State. She should always keep in mind that she is not a politician. What right does she have to make political comments against KCR?" he asked.
Suman also accused Soundararajan of blaming the Chief Minister for the recent floods in Telangana, and said that she was not a scientist.
