Vijayasanthi, the film-star-turned-politician who is now an MP of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, has accused the Congress of not being committed to the Telangana cause. She said the party has cheated the Telangana movement.
The actress said that everyone - TRS, Congress and other parties - were part of the JAC when it was decided that political uncertainty will be created to garner support for Telangana statehood, but the Congress backed out, showing its true colours. She said when the party could cheat right now, there was no guarantee that it will not cheat when the Sri Krishna Committee begins its work.
Vijayasanthi welcomed Botsa Satyanarayan’s support for separate statehood for Telangana and hoped for more such statements from others. On the question of the relevance of TRS today, she said that the struggle for Telangana will never die.

TRS MP’S having asked MLA’ to resign already at State Budget time, the crooks/MP’s should have at least submitted resignations in accepted format as reaction to Central Budget. Ms.Vijay Shanti may not be aware that MEDAK constituency was favored choice of INC from the great Indiramma's Period. TRS-Talli Telugu -Old Heroine Vijay shanti has not done anything for Medak region other than fake resignation & attending T-Dhum Dham.
