The Telangana Rashtra Samithi, on Monday, sought to build pressure on the MLAs belonging to the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party to resubmit their resignations, by taking the lead and faxing the resignations of its 11 MLAs to the office of Speaker Nadendla Manohar.
Nadendla had, on Saturday, rejected the resignations of all the MLAs, which were submitted from July 3 to July 5.
He had stated that those decisions to resign had been taken in an emotionally surcharged atmosphere.
The TRS' bid to build pressure on the Congress and TDP MLAs to resubmit their resignations came as the ruling party MLAs failed to take a decision on the issue during a meeting held at Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy's residence on Sunday.
The TDP, too, has failed to take a decision on whether to resubmit the resignations of its MLAs.
However, 4 rebel TDP MLAs, led by Nagam Janardhan Reddy, had already faxed their resignations to the Speaker's office.
It was clear that the TRS MLAs would resubmit their resignations after party president K Chandrasekhar Rao had said that his party Legislators would quit again. (INN)
