TRS leader and Achampet MLA G Balaraju today lashed out at the BJP leaders in the state, including BJP state head Bandi Sanjay Kumar, for their comments against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the TRS government.
Talking to the media at the Telangana Bhavan, he claimed that leaders like Bandi Sanjay were "barking like mad dogs" after not having done anything for the state.
"Though the BJP has done nothing for the development of Telangana, the party's leaders, including Bandi Sanjay, continue to point fingers at the TRS government, which is known all over the nation as a regime that is deeply committed to development, and to providing welfare to all the people in Telangana. How does the BJP have the audacity to malign the state government when it has never implemented any welfare schemes that are comparable to the TRS government's many programs? At this rate, the party will not come into power in the state even in 2048. And the people of the state will never support it despite all its false information campaigns," he said.
Referring to the charges of corruption and irregularities that the BJP's leaders had levelled against the TRS government, he said, "It is funny that the BJP is always slandering the TRS government, and accusing it of corruption and of not keeping its promises to the people of the state. It is the BJP, and not the TRS, that makes tall claims and then fails to keep its word. The party was not even able to procure funds for the flood-affected people of the state. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has deceived the people of the country after promising them one crore jobs a year," the MLA alleged.
"After failing to get any funds for Telangana for development or flood relief, the BJP is now shamelessly stirring up a controversy among the people of the state. The party's leaders are also creating communal strife for political gains. They must however remember that the people can see through such tactics, and will soon revolt against them if they continue to behave in this way," he added.
Balaraju also lashed out at the BJP-led UP government saying that the party had no right to criticise any other leaders when it was not even able to protect the women in the states that it ruled.
Issuing a warning to the saffron party, he said, "The leaders of the TRS will not keep quiet if the BJP fails to stop its constant mud-slinging."
The sharp reaction from the TRS leader follows the BJP's criticisms of the TRS government. The BJP has most recently come down heavily on the government for its
failure to implement the 11th Pay Revision Commission, which has left the teachers and other government employees angered, and for
diluting the local bodies in the state.
