TRS Playing Dirty Politics Over Appointed Day: TPCC
TPCC chief spokesperson Dr. Shravan Kumar criticised TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao for seeking the preponement of the Appointed Day to May 17 from June 2.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesperson Dr. Shravan Kumar on Thursday accused the Telangana Rashtra Samithi of indulging in dirty politics over the "Appointed Day" on June 2.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Kumar criticised TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao for seeking the preponement of the Appointed Day to May 17.
He said that the Centre had finalised the Appointed Day after following due procedures. The decision taken by the Union Cabinet on the Appointed Day had also got the approval of President Pranab Mukherjee.
Therefore, approaching courts seeking preponement at this juncture was highly condemnable, he said.
Shravan also accused KCR of betraying the Dalits by going back on his words of making a Dalit the first Chief Minister of Telangana.
He claimed that people, especially the Dalits and minorities, had rejected the TRS, and it would be proven on May 16 when the results of the 2014 general elections would be announced. (INN)
