The BRS leader described the two dengue-related deaths in the Timmapur village, Siddipet district, as murders by the State government.

BRS MLA and former minister Harish Rao today described the two dengue-related deaths reported in the Timmapur village of Jagadevpur mandal, Siddipet district, as murders by the State government.
The victims were Kontham Mahesh, 34, and Nayani Shiva Kumar, 16, both of whom died after several days of hospitalisation.
After visiting the bereaved families, Rao alleged that lapses in village sanitation had led to the spread of disease.
He said that at least 60 residents of the small community had tested positive for dengue and were admitted to different hospitals. Many were forced to seek treatment in private facilities, which pushed their families into severe financial distress due to the high medical expenses, he added.
Rao claimed that the previous BRS administration led by K Chandrashekar Rao had allocated Rs 300 crore every month to panchayats, while the present government had not released any funds - bringing both administration and sanitation efforts to a halt.
He also faulted the government's intelligence system for failing to alert it about the deteriorating conditions in rural areas. CM Revanth Reddy had failed to deliver effective governance and was focused only on targeting Opposition members, he alleged.
On the issue of fertilizer shortage, the Siddipet MLA said that farmers had been queuing since dawn but were still unable to secure their fair share. He claimed that during the BRS tenure, 26,000 metric tonnes of urea were supplied to the Gajwel rake point, whereas the Congress government had not provided even 3,000 metric tonnes.
