Telangana Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao today hit out at BJP state president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, claiming that the latter was indulging in mudslinging against the TRS.
Talking to reporters after participating in a development program in rural Warangal, he slammed the BJP leader for levelling "false and baseless" charges against the TRS government.
"While the rest of the BJP leaders in the state are fanning communal tensions in the city to consolidate their party's position, Bandi Sanjay is spreading lies about the TRS regime, in spite of being a party head and an MP, to mislead the people," the minister alleged.
He warned Kumar and the other BJP leaders to stop maligning the TRS and its leaders.
"The people are aware of the BJP's failure to procure funds for the development of Telangana. So the party's pathetic attempts to mislead them will never work. I would suggest that the BJP work sincerely towards the welfare of the people to gain their support instead," Rao said.
"Let us not disturb the peaceful atmosphere of Hyderabad. We must ensure that the state remains a truly democratic one," he added.
The TRS has been clashing with the BJP, especially with Bandi Sanjay Kumar, for making "false allegations" against the state government. In fact, Errabelli Dayakar Rao had
condemned the BJP's "anti-TRS rhetoric" a few days ago as well.
