Telangana Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao today slammed the state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and said that the people of Warangal would not believe any claims made by the leader.
Speaking to the media, Rao said that Warangal had been developing rapidly solely due to the efforts and policies of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao, and that he was, therefore, confident that the residents of the city would teach those "spreading lies" about the TRS government a befitting reply in upcoming Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation elections, to be held later this month.
"Bandi Sanjay has not learnt anything from his party's
recent defeat in the graduates' constituencies' MLC elections. He tried to spread lies about the TRS regime before those elections as well. However, the BJP lost both the MLC seats. This is because the people of the state know that the saffron party regularly maligns our government for no reason. They are also aware that the BJP-led Centre provides no support to Telangana. It has after all not sanctioned any medical colleges, a turmeric board, a railway coach factory in Kazipet, and much more despite our repeated pleas," he alleged.
The minister also said that the people of the state had "blessed" the ruling party with their support in almost every election since 2014, and would continue to do so as they were happy with the TRS' rule.
