Telugu Students At NIT Srinagar Will Be Brought Home Safely:

Responding to the appeal of the students, KTR assured them of a safe return to the State, and instructed the officials concerned to take immediate steps.
Hyderabad | 3rd August 2019
TRS Working President K T Rama Rao today said that the 130 Telugu students studying in NIT (National Institute of Technology) Srinagar would be brought back safely to the State.

The panicking students apprised the former minister through Twitter of their dangerous situation in the wake of the Centre instructing them to vacate the campus amid tensions in Jammu & Kashmir, and urged the Rao to help them get back to Telangana.

Responding to their appeal, KTR assured them of a safe return to the State, and instructed the officials concerned to take immediate steps in this regard.

He assured that no inconvenience would be caused to the students and that all of them would be brought back safely.

He also asked the students not to worry as the officials in Telangana Bhavan in Delhi would provide immediate help, and suggested to the parents of the students that they contact Vedantham Giri in the Telangana Bhavan office in Delhi on 011-23382041 or 9968299337.

Chief Secretary Dr S K Joshi later reaffirmed that all the students would be brought back safely to the State. He directed the officials concerned to take immediate steps and shift them to Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi, and from there to Hyderabad in a train.
