A woman constable Padmaja suffered a fractured leg today after a BRS worker named Srikanth from the convoy of former minister and BRS working president K T Rama Rao accidentally hit her with his bike during Rao's visit to Karimnagar district.
The injured constable was immediately transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
Demonstrating prompt concern, KTR visited the hospital to check on her condition, and assured her of full support during her recovery.
This incident is reminiscent of a previous occurrence involving a convoy and a woman constable. In October 2022, during then Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's visit to Warangal, a woman constable accidentally slipped from the convoy and suffered minor injuries. Alert officials promptly transported her to a hospital in Jangaon for treatment.
Also, in November 2022, KTR personally intervened in a road accident scenario. Upon witnessing an injured woman who had fallen from a motorcycle near the Ramadevi School U-turn on NH 65, he stopped his vehicle and arranged for her immediate transport to a hospital using one of his convoy vehicles.
The latest incident occurred while KTR was en route to the silver jubilee meeting of the BRS. The event took place at the V-Convention Centre in Karimnagar, and was organised under the auspices of the local MLA Gangula Kamalakar. Notable attendees included Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao, Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, former MP Boinapalli Vinod Kumar and the party district president G V Ramakrishna Rao. The gathering saw participation from former corporators, co-operative members, division presidents, representatives of affiliated committees and party activists.
