BRS working president K T Rama Rao said today that the emergency days had returned to Telangana, after a decade of freedom.
In response to the implementation of the Police Act, KTR, in a post on X, criticized the government's actions in Telangana, and claimed that the State's environment had become oppressive.
"Section 144 of the CrPC is in force in Hyderabad, and the Congress government is officially implementing the Police Act in 13 districts and unofficially in over 20," he said.
"If anyone is questioned in the State, cases are being filed under the Indiramma rule. Those asserting their rights face threats and suspensions from service. This is a totalitarian State, and the Congress government is detaining those who dare to question it," he added.
KTR vowed to fight for the "restoration of democracy" in Telangana, and said that he would persist even in the face of potential detention.
He also highlighted achievements during the BRS regime. "In the 10 years of the BRS rule, the State not only achieved remarkable agricultural yields but also saw significant growth in livestock wealth. Efforts were made to increase meat and poultry production in the State to meet demand, and yields from other States decreased due to Telangana's significant output. The Centre itself announced that Rs 2,000 crore had been earned from livestock in Telangana. The previous government focused on enhancing livelihoods in rural Telangana and integrating villages into the wealth creation process," he said.
"Every scheme introduced by KCR was designed with long-term vision," he claimed.
He accused the Congress government of failing to distribute fish seed and sheep, and alleged that a conspiracy had been made to eradicate caste-based professions. He urged the Congress government to reconsider its approach and turn inclusive.
