BJP Telangana in-charge Tarun Chug today alleged that the State was witnessing a jungle raj.
Speaking to media persons along with the party's State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar at the party's State headquarters, Chug said that the law and order situation had worsened in the State in the last couple of days.
He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's government had violated the Indian Constitution.
He expressed his shock over the recent gang rape of a minor girl in the city recently. He also alleged that the State government had used police as their pawns in the case, and added that the ruling party was trying to protect the accused.
Claiming that KCR was trying to protect his party leaders and their children in the case, Chug alleged that the State government was towards that end foisting false cases against BJP leaders who were fighting to secure justice for the victim and her family members.
He also alleged that the State government was not doing anything although scores of crimes against women were being reported in Telangana. Instead, the Chief Minister was relaxing in his farmhouse, and his son K T Rama Rao was busy tweeting, Chug said derisively.
He also claimed that the ruling party leaders had wasted Rs 109 crore on false publicity.
He demanded that the State government hand over the minor's rape case to the CBI.
