Raghunandan Rao Claims Witch-Hunt By Police

The BJP MLA dared the police to take action against those who shot the video, instead of targeting him.
Hyderabad | 7th June 2022
BJP MLA M Raghunandan Rao today reacted to the registering of a criminal case against him by the city police for releasing images and videos of a gang-rape survivor from the city.

He alleged that the police were carrying out a witch-hunting campaign against him.

He said that he had neither revealed the identity of the survivor nor released her images or videos, and that he had in fact always spoken in favour of the survivor.

He added that he was an advocate by profession, and was aware of the law of the land.

He alleged that the Congress was targeting him and carrying out a mudslinging campaign against him.

He asked the Congress why it was so worried about him when he had made his allegations against the son of an MIM MLA, and alleged that the Congress was trying to protect its natural friends.

He dared the police to take action against those who shot the video, instead of targeting him.

He also said that his reaction in the case would be based on the action of the police in the case.
