Raja Singh Demands CBI Inquiry Into Minor's Gang-Rape Case
The MLA said that the non-arrest of the accused in the case so far by the State police was creating a lot of doubts in the minds of the people of the State.
BJP floor leader in the State Assembly T Raja Singh today demanded that the State government order a CBI inquiry into the sensational gang-rape of a minor girl from the city.
Singh alleged that the gruesome act was committed in a government vehicle, and that it appeared that anti-social elements were now committing rapes and murder using even government vehicles and government offices as they were confident of getting complete support from the ruling TRS and its ally the AIMIM.
He said that given that the rape of the minor took place on May 28, the non-arrest of the accused in the case so far by the State police was creating a lot of doubts in the minds of the people of the State.
He also alleged that the police did not do anything until an MIM MLA's son who is facing allegations in the case left the country, and that there was a big role of TRS and MIM leaders in the case.
He also said that the media was abuzz with reports that conspiracies were being hatched from the CMO to dilute the case.
Stating that neither the people nor the BJP had any hope of an impartial inquiry being conducted into the issue by the State police, he said that KCR should prove his commitment to justice by ordering a CBI inquiry into the issue.
