A bandh is being observed in Medak district, in protest against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's remarks on Bayyaram mines.
TRS leader T Harish Rao and others were taken into custody for holding up traffic in Medak. They had stopped buses, and raised slogans against the government.
The bandh call was given by TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, as a mark of protest against the CM's remarks on the Bayyaram mining issue.
Elsewhere, two buses were damaged in the TRS' rasta roko. Buses were off the streets in Medak, Siddipet, Gajwel and Narayankhed, as bus depots were picketed by the TRS cadre.
Former MLA Padma Devender Reddy was held at Medak. There were arrests at the Zaheerabad bus depot as well. (INN)
