Expedite National Highway Works: TRS Ministers
The Irrigation and Roads & Buildings Ministers directed officials to expedite the works of National Highways in Medak, Sanga Reddy and Siddipet.

Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and Roads & Buildings Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao today directed officials to take up the works of National Highways as planned in the districts of Medak, Sanga Reddy and Siddipet.
At a meeting with officials along with Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy and officials, the Ministers said that land acquisition for the National Highways must be expedited.
They also expressed anguish at the officials for allegedly failing to lay new roads and repair the old ones in the old Medak district, the home constituency of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Devender complained that the roads in 10 Assembly constituencies in old Medak were in dilapidated conditions and needed immediate repair. Reacting on her complaint, the Ministers reprimanded the officials and directed them to plunge into action immediately.
Harish Rao asked the officials to acquire 120 acres land at Koheda in the Ranga Reddy district and the shift Gaddi Annaram Agriculture market.
The ministers also reviewed flagship Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, Kaleshwaram project, irrigation schemes, godowns and market yards, and the cashless transactions initiatives.
They also sought detailed reports of land acquisition, road works, project estimations and related data for the new National Highways that were to be taken up at the three districts.
