TRS Leaders Arrested In Medak
TRS leaders Harish Rao and Raghunandan, who were among those who gheraoed the Medak collectorate, were arrested and later shifted to the Patancheru PS.
The Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) cadre, in entirety, seems to be protesting in the Telangana region today. Having kickstarted the day's agitations by hurling stones at Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao's house, members of the TRS were also spotted setting TDP's flags and banners afire at the venue arranged for the Telangana Ranabheri.
Besides setting a TDP office ablaze, TRS members also attacked the former party's convoy that was headed towards Karimnagar on Wednesday evening.
As a part of the TRS' agitations for a separate state, a large number of party activists gheraoed the collectorate in the Medak district on Wednesday.
TRS leaders Harish Rao and Raghunandan, who were among the participants of the event, were arrested on Wednesday morning and were then shifted to the Patancheru Police Station.
Protesting against the arrest of the TRS leaders, party members gathered in front of the police station.
The Patancheru police, upon observing that the crowd was on the verge of turning violent, aimed forceful jets of water at them in an attempt to disperse them.
