The Telangana edition of the TDP's annual "Mahanadu" would be held on May 24 at the Exhibition Grounds, party state president L Ramana announced today.
Prior to the big event, the party organised 19 mini-Mahanadu meetings in 17 parliamentary constituencies, Ramana told the media at NTR Trust Bhavan.
The party chief said that eight resolutions would be moved in the event on various issues including the current political situation prevailing in the state, the functioning of the ruling TRS, and its failure to honour its promise in the Assembly to provide 1,15,000 government jobs.
Ramana asked the people to give their suggestions if any for incorporation into the resolutions being prepared by the party.
Pooh-poohing the comments of the other parties that there was no TDP left any more in Telangana, Ramana said that the Mahanadu turnout and scale would be a fitting reply to them. There had been a tremendous response to the district-level mini-Mahanadu meetings, and the partty was extremely vibrant and powerful, he claimed.
Party national official spokesperson Arvind Kumar Goud, party SC Cell state president and Jangaon district president Botla Srinivas, party state official spokesperson S Kasinath and party state BC cell president Kuna Venkatesh Goud were also present at the press conference.
