The success of the TDP mini-mahanadu and main Mahanadu meetings proved beyond doubt that the party was quite strong in Telangana, Telangana TDP party chief L Ramana said.
Speaking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan on Friday, Ramana said that the party flag would be unfurled after 2019 elections in the state, and that prior to that, the party would also play a major role in panchayat elections.
He claimed that the TDP had always worked for the upliftment of the dalits and the poor when it was in power, and had played a creative role even when it was in the Opposition, and all of that would result in its getting into power in 2019.
The credit for the grand success of the Mahanadu meetings went to the party workers, Ramana said, and thanked them for their selfless efforts. The party had discussed various burning issues, especially the problems of farmers, during Mahanadu, he said.
TTDP politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, too, spoke, and exhorted the party workers to continue to show the same enthusiasm and work hard for the victory of the party in the 2019 elections.
