Telangana TDP For Ban On Word "Settlers"
Telangana TDP working president and MLA A Revanth Reddy today demanded a ban on the usage of the word "settlers" to describe any people living in Hyderabad.
Telangana TDP working president and MLA A Revanth Reddy today demanded a ban on the usage of the word "settlers" to describe any people living in Hyderabad.
Participating in the "Meet-the-Press" programe organized by the Telangana Working Journalists' Federation, Reddy said that all those who were born on Telangana land belonged to Telangana.
He criticised the TRS leaders who were branding some sections of people as settlers and trying to woo them for votes in the upcoming GHMC elections by creating insecurities in them indirectly.
He also alleged that Telangana minister K T Rama Rao was deceiving the people on the settlers' issue purely for votes in the GHMC elections.
While stating that he had no personal enmity towards anybody, the Telangana TDP leader alleged that KCR was behaving like the Chief Minister of only Erravelli, where his farmhouse was located. He regretted that leaders who had played a prominent role during the separate Telangana agitation like Kodandaram, Gaddar and Vimalakka were sidelined by the TRS and the Chief Minister.
