Telangana Records 28% Excess Rains As Of Sept 30
As per the review by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the State has received 28% rainfall above normal, as of 30th September.

As per the review by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), as of 30th September (from June 1), 2016, Telangana has received 28% rainfall in excess (June +50%, July -3%, August -42% and September +180%).
The official release from the planning society said that of the ten districts in the State, eight districts, Hyderabad (+58%), Ranga Reddy (+47%), Nizamabad (+38%), Medak (+36%), Nalgonda (+36%), Warangal (+33%), Mahabubnagar (+23%) and Karimnagar (+20%), received excess rainfall and two districts, Adilabad (+16%) and Khammam (+11%), received the usual amount.
Of the 459 mandals in the State, 10 mandals in Nalgonda (-5%), Mahabubnagar (-2%), Karimnagar (-1%), Adilabad (-1%) and Warangal (-1%) received a less than normal rainfall; 184 mandals received normal rainfall and 265 Mandals received excess rainfall, which means that 58 % of mandals of the State received excess, while 40% received normal and 2% received less than average.
Based on the weather model run at the TSDPS, the Skymet and the IMD, the State will continue to receive light to moderate rainfall over the next one week.
