The Telangana government plans to start 288 more Basthi Dawakhanas in the municipalities to provide better medical services in the towns of the state.

The Telangana government plans to start 288 more Basthi Dawakhanas in the municipalities to provide better medical services in the towns of the state.

These dawakhanas are aimed at providing free and high quality diagnostic and primary health care services in the municipalities.

With the dawakhanas being a big success in the GHMC area, the plan is to expand them to the municipalities across the state.

The decision was taken in a review meeting on the health sector at the MCRHRD, in which ministers T Harish Rao and K T Rama Rao participated.

The dawakhanas will be extended to the municipalities in two phases by June 2, 2022.
