OU, KU Employees End Strike
All colleges affiliated to OU and KU will re-open, following successful talks between the state government and the employees.

All colleges affiliated to the Osmania University and the Kakatiya University will re-open, following successful talks between the state government and the striking employees in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
While colleges affiliated with the Kakatiya University will re-open on 21 October, OU-affiliated colleges will start functioning from 22 October.
Further, all other colleges in the state will start functioning normally.
Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Wednesday held successful negotiations with the Joint Action Committees representing the employees of the colleges.
Besides assuring them of considering their other demands, the government has also agreed to take legal opinion to avoid the implementation of GO 177 on the "No Work, No Pay" Rule. Damodar Rajanarasimha said that the government would consult the Advocate General for the same.
The Deputy Chief Minister also assured that the government might consider lifting the cases that were booked against the striking employees, depending upon the seriousness of the offences committed during the general strike.
Meanwhile, the JACs have assured that they would complete the syllabus on schedule, which was affected due to the employees' participation in the general strike.
Higher Education Department principal secretary D Sambasiva Rao, Technical Education Commissioner R M Dubriyel and other senior officials were present during the talks. (INN)
