Shortly after their release, two of the accused in the TRS MLAs' poaching case were re-arrested on Thursday in connection with other cases registered against them.
Ramachandra Bharathi and Nanda Kumar were arrested by the Banjara Hills police soon after they were released on bail from the Chanchalguda central prison.
While Bharathi was booked for holding multiple passports, Aadhaar cards and other documents, five cases had been registered against Kumar for cheating and other offences. They were re-arrested in some of those cases.
On December 1, the Telangana High Court had granted bail to all the three accused - Bharathi from Faridabad, Kumar from Hyderabad and Simhayaji Swamy from Tirupati - and asked them to submit personal bonds for Rs 3 lakh each, besides two sureties.
The judge had also asked the accused to surrender their passports to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case and to not leave Hyderabad. They were also asked to appear before the SIT every Monday to sign the register.
However, the three could not come out of the jail immediately, as they could not submit Rs 3 lakh towards personal bonds and two other sureties.
Finally, on Wednesday, only Swamy could come out of the jail, hours after paying the surety amount.
Bharathi and Kumar managed to pay the amount to the court on Wednesday evening, but since there was no time on that day, they remained in jail.
But on Thursday, as soon as they came out of the jail, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) authorities arrested them again in different cases.
While Bharathi was arrested again for having fake Aadhaar cards and passports, Kumar was arrested in a cheating case.
Both of them will be produced in a local court again and remanded to judicial custody.
They have been in jail since October 27.
