Lashing out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for "hatching conspiracies to topple the elected government in Telangana", TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today directly asked Modi why he was indulging in such malicious acts and encouraging defection politics.
Addressing a public meeting in Chandur village of the Munugodu Assembly constituency today, the TRS president said that the people had given an opportunity to Narendra Modi to be the Prime Minister of the country twice, but the latter was misusing his post instead of serving the country honestly.
Appreciating his four party MLAs - Pilot Rohit Reddy, Guvvala Balaraju, B Harshavardhan Reddy and Rega Kantha Rao - for exposing the covert operation being undertaken by alleged supporters of the BJP who had allegedly offered Rs. 100 crore to each MLA to join the saffron party, KCR said that the State government would disclose the misdeeds of the BJP soon, saying that the people had seen very little in the MLA poaching case and very soon would see the much bigger conspiracy he claimed was underfoot.
"This is Telangana's self-respect. These four MLAs kicked away the Rs. 100 crore offer from the Delhi brokers and hoisted Telangana's flag of self-respect as high as the Himalayas. Politics needs such leaders," KCR said.
KCR added that the TRS candidate for Munugodu Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy was a local person, and would always be available to the people irrespective of whether he won the by-election or not, but that the people should cast their vote for development.
He also promised that the State government would develop Munugodu by allocating adequate funds to it in the days to come if the TRS candidate was voted.
