KCR, KTR Primary Culprits In Cash For MLAs Scam: Revanth Reddy

TPCC president Revanth Reddy today demanded that the MLA poaching case be investigated under the supervision of a sitting judge of the Supreme Court.

He also claimed that the TRS and the BJP had resorted to the "drama" of buying MLAs in order to derail Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Padayatra.

He said, "The CBI, ED and IT department are in the hands of the Centre, and the State police and the ACB are working under the direction of KCR. In this context, nobody can trust the Central and State governments. Hence, the case should be investigated under the supervision of a Supreme Court judge with daily reports. And KCR and KTR should be included as A1 and A2 in this case."

"Whenever there are by-elections in the State, the TRS and the BJP work in coordination to damage the Congress. They are creating an environment in which those who want to defeat KCR will vote for the BJP and those who want to defeat the BJP will vote for the TRS. Thus, they are trying to make Congress irrelevant," he claimed.

He cited the Dubbaka by-election as an example of that. "During the Dubbaka election, Harish Rao kept creating controversies. Before the election day, money was found with Raghunandan Rao's brother-in-law, and police cases were filed against Raghunandan Rao. With this, they created a positive environment for Raghunandan Rao, and people voted for the BJP with the aim of defeating KCR and out of sympathy for Raghunandan Rao. Subsequently, Raghunandan Rao went to the Assembly, and nobody knows what happened to the money found and the cases filed against him," he said.

He went on to say that in Huzurabad, too, Eatala Rajender had won by sympathy because the TRS had created the feeling that injustice was done to a Telangana udhyamakarudu and a person from the weaker sections. He said that as a result all the votes of the Congress went to Eatala due to sympathy.

"What happened to the cases of the land encroachment against Eatela after he won? Where are the people who said that they would send Eatala to jail? Both Amit Shah in Delhi and KCR in the State are conspiring to keep their common enemy, the Congress, out of the game," Reddy said.

"Whenever the by-elections come, they are flaring up emotions for political advantage. The farmhouse drama that started three days ago is being done to divert the people's attention from Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra and the Munugodu by-election. According to the audio records released so far, Pilot Rohit Reddy is asking the accused persons for money. He is claiming that he can bring other MLAs. Then how can the PC Act be applied without including Rohit Reddy and the MLAs who are with him also as accused? How can Rohit Reddy who demanded the money not be made an accused in the case and instead the tantriks who promised to fulfill his demands be named as the only accused? That is why the ACB court rejected the remand appeal. Does Stephen Ravindra not know this?" Reddy asked.

He asked why only the tantriks' phones had been seized while the phones of the MLAs who were also involved in this affair had not been seized. He also asked why the MLAs of Kodangal and Chevella, whose names were discussed in the audio tapes, were not being investigated, and why their phones hadn't been seized. He added that the phones along with the CCTV cameras were crucial to proving the case.

Revanth Reddy also said, "The MLAs were taken to Pragati Bhavan from the crime scene, by the police. Since then those MLAs have not been seen. Where are they? What did the police do with them? There are allegations that this affair took place under the supervision of KCR, who is the gangleader of these MLAs. If so, KCR should be included as A1 and KTR as A2, and then the MLAs too should be included as accused. If not, the Delhi elders 1 and 2 should be included as A1 and A2, and Santhosh as A3, and then the tantriks should be included as accused and cases should be registered against all of them."

He said that one would have to doubt the sincerity of the police, as some of the participants in this event were walking freely while others were being arrested.
