Ministers from the Telangana region, on Saturday, announced their support for the proposed 'Peace Rally' to be organised by the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee on September 7.
A delegation of TPJAC led by its chairman, Prof. M Kodandaram, asked Telangana ministers and leaders at the Ministers' Quarters for their support in acquiring permission for the rally.
The leaders included Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, ministers Ponnala Lakshmaiah, B Saraiah and D K Aruna, and MLCs D Srinivas and Mohammad Ali Shabbir. They gave the TPJAC an assurance that they would use their influence in getting permission for the rally.

He added that the Telangana leaders would make all efforts to ensure that the Telangana Bill gets tabled in the Parliament at the earliest.
Jana Reddy advised Congress leaders from the Seemandhra region to address their concerns to the party High Command instead of participating in agitations. He also requested Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to speak to the Seemandhra leaders and convince them to end the ongoing agitation. (INN)
