T Main Issue In Assembly: Nagam
Nagam stated that Telangana agitators would seize the opportunity to bring the focus back on to T by forcing the Assembly to address the statehood issue.
With the ruling party and the opposition parties pre-occupied with the election of the Deputy Chief Minister & the Speaker and the discussion of the no-confidence motion, respectively, Telangana agitators wasted no time in trying to pencil in their demands into the proceedings.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA Vinod Kumar on Friday called upon T Congress leaders to refrain from participating in the elections for the posts of the Deputy CM and the Speaker till the Telangana Bill is introduced by the Centre. He stated that such a move would mount pressure on the government to act upon the statehood issue.
Suspended Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy charged that the TDP had moved the no-confidence motion to distract the government and the people from the Telangana movement that was steadily gaining momentum. He gleefully stated that Telangana agitators would seize the opportunity to bring the focus back on to Telangana by forcing the Assembly to address the statehood issue.
With so many politicos seeking such diverse proccedings from a single Assembly session tomorrow, one must wait and watch if any one issue would be addressed in a wholesome manner.
