Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao called on the AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Monday.
Besides thanking Rahul Gandhi for his support in ensuring the passing of the Telagnana bill in the Parliament, KCR also discussed the latest political situation in the Telangana region.
However, the duo reportedly avoided talks on a possible merger between the TRS and the Congress party or about a possible alliance between the two parties.
Sources say that the talks were quite informal and were confined to an exchange of views on the post-bifurcation scenario.
Later, KCR also called on President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan to thank the latter for his support for the formation of Telangana.
It may be mentioned that KCR, along with his family members, had also
met AICC President Sonia Gandhi on Sunday. (INN)
