The SSC exams are scheduled to commence from the 23rd of this month, and will see a lot of hitech surveillance in addition to the usual proctoring.
2.15 lakh students in the GHMC limits are to appear for the exams, and the authorities of the department of school education have decided to use CC camera surveillance to monitor the conduct of the exams.
The Director of the department has already issued guidelines for the usage of the CC cameras. The guidelines have been issued keeping in view the question paper leakage incidents in some States including neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
The authorities of the department been working to gather the details of the availability of CC cameras in all the examination centres and their working condition. A total of 941 examination centres have been set up in the GHMC limits, and the officials have found that these centres have only 604 CC cameras among them. Keeping this in mind, they have decided to set up the CC cameras in all the remaining 337 centres, and have asked the school managements to set up the cameras at the earliest.
