In the midst of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, which threw up unprecedented challenges to the teaching-learning process, the government decided to
modify the SSC paper pattern for this year.
Under the new exam format, paper-I and paper-II for First Language, English, Mathematics, General Science (Physical Science and Biology) and Social Science have been merged into a single paper. However, there has been no change in the format of the second language paper.
As a result, the students taking the exam will have to write only six instead of the usual 11 papers, this year.
