Schools and colleges in Telangana would be reopened from January 31 if the Covid cases in the state saw a dip, Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy said.
"Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will decide whether schools and colleges will be reopened after January 31, based on reports from the health department," the minister said.
She also asserted that the government would not cancel the exams for Intermediate or any other courses, and so the students should pass by working hard.
"We are not ready to either cancel the exams or give pass marks to the students even if there is a Covid case surge," she clarified.
Meanwhile, it is being reported that the SSC exams will be held in May this year instead of in April.
It is also being reported that only 70% of the syllabus will be part of the tests, and that the exams will have fewer questions and more options.
