DGP Gives Rs 30 Lakh To Wife Of Deceased Home Guard

In a poignant event at the DGP's office in Hyderabad, Anjani Kumar, the DGP of Telangana, handed over a Rs 30 lakh cheque to M Uma Devi, spouse of late Majji Govinda Rao, a home guard of Telangana, as compensation for the latter's unfortunate demise in an accident on May 4, 2023.

Speaking on the occasion, Anjani Kumar said, "We know nothing can compensate for the loss of a loved one. We are however committed to helping the family financially through an appropriate financial package."

"The gesture was made possible by the salary account package tie-up with HDFC Bank. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and express our gratitude to HDFC Bank for their unwavering support during these trying times," the DGP added.

Also present were Abhilasha Bisht, IPS, Additional Director General, Welfare; and Amber Kishore Jha, IPS, DIG Home Guards.
