The Telangana Congress MPs submitted their report, a 102-page document, to the Srikrishna Committee today. Talking about this, Congress MP Madhu Yashki said that Mr. Duggal of the Srikrishna Committee had mentioned to him that the Committee had received about 2,000 representations so far, of which about 200 are being considered non-duplicate and serious.
Yashki said that Andhra leaders were submitting reports to the Committee by the dozen, and that there were instances where a single leader had submitted 8 reports to the Committee. He added that he had told the Committee that the
Telangana movement was currently like the calm before the storm, and that if separate statehood did not happen, there would be a hurricane.
Meanwhile, TJS leader Kavita, the daughter of KCR, also submitted a report to the Committee, and said that she had suggested that the 10 Telangana districts be managed in smaller units for better governance, discarding the 1956 model that was a relic from the British rule.
