Another Meeting On SKC Report

AICC official spokesman Shakeel Ahmed said that the centre would convene another meeting on Srikrishna Report to come out with workable options.
Hyderabad | 7th January 2011
All India Congress Committee official spokesman Shakeel Ahmed on Friday stated that the centre would convene another meeting with all recognized parties in Andhra Pradesh over the Justice Srikrishna Committee recommendations.

Talking to media persons, Shakeel Ahmed stated that the centre would make efforts to come out with a unanimous stand on recommendations of the Justice Srikrishna Committee in the wake of divergent views emerging from various political parties.

He said that the Congress would take a favourable decision on the Telangana issue based on the parties' response and respect the sentiments of the people.

In this regard, the United Progressive Alliance government would also hold discussion with the parties in the alliance and seek their views to address the issue.

The Congress spokesperson called upon all political party leaders to observe restraint and not make any provocative statement which could rouse the passion of the people.

He asked the political parties and leaders to help the centre by coming out with workable suggestions on the recommendations of the report.
