Nizamabad MP Madhu Yaskhi on Saturday stated that the prestigious Rachabanda program launched by the state government had failed to satisfy the purpose it was envisaged for.
Talking to media persons after releasing a 'Samara Bheri' poster brought out by lawyers, Yaskhi Goud alleged that the state government was wasting thousands of crores rupees on conducting the Rachabanda since the program had failed to provide any benefit to the people, which was the real purpose behind its launch.
The MP said that the program had failed to meet the people's aspirations and was not serving any purpose.
Yaskhi Goud alleged that the heavy police security deployed at the venues was preventing the people to attend the Rachabanda in villages.
He pointed out that more than 4,000 police personnel were posted for providing security to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy during his visit to conduct the Rachabanda program at a remote village in Nizamabad. "This shows that the government is organizing the peoples' welfare program under police bandobust without bothering about their complaints. What is the need for deploying so much security in villages?" the MP questioned.
He said that he would lodge a complaint before the Congress high command in this regard and urge it to stop the program immediately.
Reacting on the alliance of Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) with Congress, he said that Telangana state formation would not be obstructed by the deal. He hoped that PRP President K Chiranjeevi would follow the policies and decisions of the Congress in letter and spirit and work for strengthening the party.
