The driver and cleaner of a private bus decamped with the luggage and other valuables of their passengers.
The incident took place in Narkatpally of Nalgonda district.
The bus had 64 passengers.
According to the details revealed by police, daily wage earners from Assam who had migrated to Kerala in search of livelihood had booked a private bus to go back to their native place. The driver of the bus halted the bus at Narkatpally and asked the passengers to alight telling them that he would return after getting a puncture in a tyre fixed.
However, he did not return even after four hours. Realising that they had been cheated by the driver, the victims approached the police.
