BJP leader and Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh today took oath as a Member of the Legislative Assembly.
Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy administered oath of office to the BJP MLA.
Singh, as he had announced earlier, did not take oath in the Assembly on Thursday when it was being administered by pro tem Speaker Mumtaz Ahmed Khan of the MIM.
Four other MLAs were also not present in the Assembly on that day for various reasons.
Singh had said that he would not take oath if an MIM member were to be administering it to him, claiming that the MIM leaders had always spoken against the majority community in such a manner as to hurt their feelings. He requested the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to rethink making an MIM MLA as pro tem Speaker, and urged the CM to take all sections along with him if he wanted a Bangaru Telangana.
