Hyderabad | 8th March 2022
The BJP has approached the apex court of the state against the suspension of its three MLAs by Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Monday.

The party filed its petition before the High Court today and urged the court to set aside the MLAs' suspension order and issue orders to the Speaker to allow them to attend the ongoing Assembly session.

The BJP also urged the HC to issue orders to the Secretary of the Assembly to submit the video footage of the Assembly proceedings of yesterday and the passing of the resolution for the suspension.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP MLA M Raghunandan Rao alleged that the suspension of the three MLAs from the house violated the rules of the Assembly and the Indian constitution.

He demanded that the Speaker tell the people of Telangana under what sections the MLAs were suspended from the House.

Fo the unversed, the three MLAs of the party Eatala Rajender, T Raja Singh and Rao were suspended from the House yesterday by the Speaker after they reportedly obstructed the budget speech of the finance minister T Harish Rao.
