BJLP leader Raja Singh today termed the suspension of the entire BJP legislature party, including MLAs Eatala Rajender, M Raghunandan Rao and himself, as a black day for democracy.
Singh said that the state government had violated all the existing rules in suspending his party's MLAs, and that the suspensions were part of a conspiracy by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
He lamented that the state government had not allowed them to even hold a protest protest at the Mahatma Gandhi statue located on the premises of the Assembly, after their suspension.
He asked the Chief Minister who gave him the right to thwart the protest program, and how the police could arrest them from the premises of the Assembly.
Targeting Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Singh said that it was unfortunate that the Speaker did not come to their rescue when their rights were being taken away by the state government.
He alleged that the CM, fresh from demanding the redrafting of the Indian constitution, was now again insulting it by muzzling the voices of the MLAs of the opposition parties.
He said that KCR was using the police force to serve his personal political goals, and that the CM was now even running the state assembly, which was treated as a temple, with the help of the police.
He vowed that the BJP would however not allow KCR to implement his own constitution, and said that the end to KCR's rule was very near.
