TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday held the the YSRCP government responsible for Andhra Pradesh falling from number 1 to 7 in the country in the availability of job opportunities.
He also expressed concern that the latest India Skills Report (ISR 2022) had revealed that AP job-seekers were deficient in talent and English skills.
Lokesh said that in just three years, the YSRCP rulers had destroyed the education and employment sectors completely.
CM Jagan Mohan Reddy had come to power promising to make the whole country look towards AP. But now, the reverse was happening with the world looking at the plight of AP with pity and sympathy, Lokesh said.
Lamenting that the ISR 2022 report had passed deplorable comments on the skills of AP students, Lokesh said, "Reddy should realize that job creation is not as easy as giving nominated posts to his family members and caste persons. And reputed companies will not come to the state as long as the YSRCP leaders continue their threats to prospective investors. Threatening Kia representatives is easy, but bringing major companies requires credibility and commitment," he said.
The TDP MLC added that reconstruction of the residual AP would not be as easy as Reddy's demolition of Praja Vedika. "Those not having the capacity to bring development have no right to demolish systems and institutions, or even buildings. All sections of society are affected because of the current retrogressive policies," he said.
He also asked why Minister for Industries Mekapati Goutham Reddy was not responding to the TDP's statements on "fake MoUs" signed at the Dubai Expo 2022.
"Everybody knows that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government signed deals with shell companies. The TDP exposed the government's false agreements with a fake company to invest Rs. 3,000 crore in AP. The fake company was not even having Rs 3 lakh. The YSRCP rulers are keeping silent on this because they have no arguments to defend themselves," he alleged.
